WHAT IF A FRAGRANCE COULD LET US FEEL LOVE — IN ALL ITS FORMS? ‘DANS LES NUAGES’ IS A PHILOSOPHICAL PERFUME COLLECTION WHERE SCENT UNFOLDS AS EMOTION — A RITUAL OF INTROSPECTION AND CONNECTION.

Inspired by the ancient Greek taxonomy of love, Dans Les Nuages explores perfume as a language of emotional complexity. Each scent embodies a different expression of love — from eros to agape — offering a poetic invitation to reflect on how we feel, name, and embody connection. Bottle forms, materials, and typographic cues are crafted with symbolic restraint, shaping a contemplative system where emotion takes physical form. This is not just perfume — it is a soft ritual of self-recognition, a clouded mirror of feeling.
Eros is a physical love or sexual desire, the sensual love between people who are sexually attracted to each other. It is the type of love that involves passion and romance.

The Eros aroma is attractive, sexy, and bright. The description reads, ‘a passion in a bottle.’ It contains notes of white musk and shafran.
Agape is an unconditional, sacrificial love. It is the kind of love that is felt by a person willing to do anything for another, including sacrificing themselves, without expecting anything in return. The concepts of charity and sacrifice within agape can be thought of as ‘the highest form of love’, particularly in Christianity.

The Agape aroma is soft, gentle and light. The sensual freshness of gardenia is shrouded in a delicate smell of incense and soft amber.
Philia is an affectionate love, the type of love that involves friendship. The Greek philosopher Plato thought that philia was an even greater love than eros and that the strongest loving relationships were ones where philia led to eros.

The Philia aroma is sweet and welcome. It is a sensuality of ripe plums and brown sugar wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias.
Pragma is a practical love that is based on duty, obligation, and logic. It is the unsexy love that you might find in political, arranged marriages throughout history. Pragma may even involve a person tolerating or ignoring their partner’s infidelity. It is a businesslike love that takes precedence over sex and romance.

The Pragma aroma expresses logic and tranquility. It is a ruby-rich juice of exotic pomegranate, sparked with pink pepper and whiskey.
Mania is an obsessive love that reaches the point of obsession or madness. Such love is often marked by feelings of being out of control, rash decisions, and vulnerability. It is the kind of ‘love’ that a stalker feels toward his victim.

The Mania aroma is fatal and attractive. It is an intoxicated dream: the charm of blooming poppies meets coffee and chewy tobacco.
Ludus is playful, noncommittal love — love as a game. It embraces flirting, seduction, and casual encounters. The word itself means ‘play’ or ‘game’ in Latin.

The Ludus aroma is surprising, impressive, and memorable — a bright explosion of juicy raspberry and intriguing mint.
Philautia is self-love. It reflects how a person feels about their own body and mind. The duality of Philautia reminds us that love — even self-love — can often be beautifully complex.

The Philautia aroma is balanced, harmonious, and sincere. The tenderness of just-ripe pears is immersed in warm almond milk.
Storge is familial love — a natural bond. It is a protective, kinship-based love that embodies approval, sacrifice, and acceptance.

The Storge aroma is clean, cozy, and embracing. Homely notes of green tea and apple melt into a symphony of acacia honey.
